Field Guide v1.1 Page updated 2026-10-12 Page history · Release notes

Directory Overview

The Field Guide directory lists 302 organizations relevant to U.S. institutional stablecoin and tokenization adoption, worldwide. Organizations earn a listing by being named in Field Guide research or in the weekly news digest — as a party to a pilot, a production deployment, a product, an acquisition, a charter, or a regulatory action. Every entry records where it was named.

Sections

  • Companies — 146 issuers, infrastructure providers, fintechs, custodians, exchanges, asset managers, and processors.
  • Institutions & Regulators — 115 banks, central banks, supervisors, standards bodies, and market infrastructure operators, listed by dated action.
  • Networks & Protocols — 41 blockchains, ledger platforms, payment rails, and onchain protocols.

How entries are built

Company, network, and protocol entries carry a short description of what the organization is and what the Field Guide records it doing. Bank, central bank, regulator, standards body, and market infrastructure entries carry no description: for this audience they need no introduction, so those entries list dated pilots, deployments, rulemakings, and publications with links to the primary source. Where a program, platform, or event page is worth a reader’s click, it appears under Related.

Most entries record the Field Guide page or digest edition that named the organization, under Named in. Entries added to complete a category carry Directory research: described from their own published material and not yet named in scored research. Some entries carry no provenance note at all — the organization belongs in its category but no Field Guide analysis has named it yet. A note is added when research or a digest story gives it one.

The data and analytics providers are listed for a specific reason: the Digital Money Adoption score depends on onchain measurement, and a reader checking a supply or volume claim needs to know which datasets are free, which are paid, and which methodology each vendor applies. Entries note access model and API availability.

Also named in the guide

32 further organizations appear in Field Guide research or the news digest in a supporting role — an investor in a funding round, a member of a consortium with no separate action, or a corporate named as a user or merchant. Each is listed with where it was named, and moves to a full listing when research or a digest story gives it one.

Research and consulting firms cited as report publishers are listed in Research Sources rather than in the directory.
